Guys Mills, PA- Frank William Chismar, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully at his son’s home in Montville, Ohio.
He was born on June 10, 1939, in Meadville, Pennsylvania the son of Frank William and Neva A. (Cousins) Chismar. Frank was a 1957 graduate of Saegertown High School and attended John Carroll University. He moved to Cleveland and became a radiologist and later moved to Chardon and sold medical equipment for several companies over the years. After retiring he returned to Guys Mills, until he was no longer able to live independently.
Frank was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church in Meadville. He also loved photography, woodworking and attempting to fly remote-controlled airplanes, which usually resulted in crashing into a tree.
He is survived by his children, Frank (Christina) Chismar, II, John Chismar, Gregory (Tammy Deemer) Chismar, Doug (Michelle) Chismar and Michele (Rodney) Widdowson; grandchildren, Lindsay, Brook, Olivia, Aaron, Joel, Gregory, Jason, Anthony, Thomas, Becky, and Abby; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank W. Chismar, Sr. and Neva A. Chismar; his wife of almost of 40 years, Donna M. (Wiggins) Watson-Chismar; his sister, Neva Ours; and his beloved dog, “Corky.”
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. His ashes will be buried at Blooming Valley Cemetery, with his beloved wife, Donna.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be given to Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, 24740 State St., Meadville, PA 16066.
